Bekasi:
Bekasi is a growing suburb in West Java, Indonesia, located on the eastern border of DKI Jakarta in the Jabotabek metropolitan region. To the south is Bogor Regency, east is Bekasi Regency.
It has an area of 210.49 km2 and 1,931,976 people in 2005, with a density of 9,178 people/km2. The 2007 population is estimated to be 2,084,831.
Substantial urban areas surround the city. It serves as a commuter city for Jakarta, although it has notable trade, business and processing industries. These are primarily clustered in the area of Karawang.
